 Forest School Open Afternoon

When: Sunday 25th March (1pm – 4pm)

Thorney Lakes is proud to announce the opening of our brand new Forest and Falconry School, Feather Woods.

We are holding an open Afternoon on the 25th of March, to come and see what we are doing, have a go at some activities and meet the birds.

In 2018 we will be holding monthly sessions, along with weekly sessions in the summer holidays, dates and booking information coming soon!

Feather Woods is centred around our belief that learning outdoors is just as beneficial if not more beneficial as learning indoors.

  Green Scythe Fair

When: Sunday 10th June

This is a magical one day environmental fair in a beautiful setting on the Somerset Levels run entirely on wind, sun and muscle power. Excellent live music, over 70 stalls displaying traditional skills, crafts and produce, lively environmental debates, delicious organic local food, and a variety of the best ales and ciders. Plus an enlarged kids’ area with activities throughout the day.

The Green Scythe Fair includes the celebrated West Country Scythe Championships, known far and wide for the stupendous and often hilarious feats of haymaking by international scythesmen and women, who mow a swathe through the summer festival scene making it probably the most authentic, and enjoyable, country fair in all England!

When: Saturday 11th August

A charity open air event, enjoyable for all the family.

Bring a picnic, something to sit on and enjoy some stunning live music as the sun sets.

Kingsbury Episcopi Band will be playing, remaining line up to be decided!!!

We are proud to be supporting the Bridgwater Cancer Research UK.

A day full of fun for the whole Family, including family Dog Show, Children’s Sports, Tractor Rides, Bar, BBQ, Music from Andrias Guerin & More.
